If you thought lasagna was a dairy dish think again, this delicious beef lasagna requires no cooking time for the noodles! You can prep everything in a disposable pan and slide it into the oven until dinner time. Amazing? Why yes it is!
Tip: prepare in the morning and pop it in the oven a little over an hour before dinner time and you’ll be good to go.
Recipe: This recipe was featured in the Whisk by Ami magazine 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 (15 ounce) can tomato purée 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 2 pounds ground beef 15 uncooked lasagna noodles 3 cubes frozen sautéed onions Preheat oven to 350°. Mix tomato sauce, purée, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Place the ground beef in a gallon ziploc bag and add the frozen onions and 1/2 cup of sauce and mush around until it’s all incorporated. Spread about 1/2 cup sauce at the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish, add three lasagna noodles over the sauce, then spread more sauce over the noodles, followed by a layer of ground beef. Continue layering noodles, sauce then meat until the noodles are used up. Finish with a layer of sauce. Cover and bake for 45 minutes then uncover and broil for 5 minutes to crisp up the top of desired.
