Herb Marinated Grilled Chicken

My sister Racheli inspired this recipe with the delicious grilled chicken she served when I was by her on Chol Hamoed Sukkos. With a simple marinade of herbs and spices, this easy recipe brings the joy of family gatherings to your table. Just pop everything into a zip-top bag, grill, and savor the flavor.

Yields 3-4 servings


2 lbs. chicken breast, thinly sliced

1⁄4 cup extra-virgin olive oil

8 cubes frozen basil

3 cubes frozen parsley

2 cubes frozen ginger

2 cubes frozen dill

8 cubes frozen garlic

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1⁄4 teaspoon crushed red pepper, optional

Salt and pepper, to taste


Equipment: One 1-gallon ziptop bag; grill


1. Add all ingredients to 1-gallon ziptop bag and toss to coat. Marinate for 30 minutes.

2. Grill for 4 minutes per side.

3. Enjoy!
